WHAT IS IT?

It is a form of acupuncture applied to points on the ear to treat other parts of the body.
We can “find” in our ear all our organs. This approach considers the ear to be a representation of the human body. This practice is complementary to traditional treatment.
It increases biofeedback procedures by producing more immediate relief of myofascial pain and visceral discomfort as a patient progressively learns to relax.
Precise stimulation of points of the ear gives a quick and long-lasting effect in many diseases.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The brain has a map of the body that allows it to manage all its functions. This mapping is also represented on the auricles. All information that goes up from the organism to the brain passes through the pavilions of the ears, it is the same for the orders that come down from the brain of the organism. The treatment of specific areas of the ear makes it possible to act on the functioning of the corresponding organs.

IS IT SCIENTIFICALLY VALIDATED?

Auriculotherapy has a scientific basis and can be explained by neuro-embryological and neuro-genetic mechanisms: during embryonic development, a mapping on the auricle is created. This cartography is identical to the relationship between the brain and the body. This neurophysiological correspondence has been confirmed by MRI studies and allows us to send ‘therapeutic requests’ to the brain using our ears.

HOW IS IT DONE?

Needles inserted to the auricle for a few seconds or minutes.
ASP Needels which stay in place in the ear for a few days and fall out one after the other.

RESULTS

The result can be immediate, or visible after a few hours, or can appear slowly.
In very sensitive patients, a temporary worsening (maximum a few days) of the symptoms may appear.
In general, there is an improvement during the first week after treatment for recent problems and during the first month for chronic problems.
When the result is insufficient, a new treatment is proposed. In most cases, 3 initial treatments are necessary, after that the treatment will be adapted according to the pathology, chronicity and evolution.
The time between each treatment can vary from 2 weeks to a few months.
